21st Century Ducati Hypermono concept
Inspired by the original 1993 Supermono designed by Pierre Terblanche

THIS DUCATI Hypermono concept has been produced by Italian design house, Sak Art in the hope that it will gain popularity and Ducati will seriously consider a modern day Supermono.
Inspired by the road-legal Supermono Strada by Alistair Wager and the original Supermono designed by Pierre Terblanche in 1993
This modern concept is based around the original Supermono engine with a desmodromic four-valve cylinder head with a 549cc capacity pushing out 80bhp in a 130kg package. Essentially the Hypermono is based on the chassis of a Monster. Sak Art say their mission: 'is to create a harsh, challenging, stimulating bike designed to give the rider the nearest thing possible to a genuine motorcycle racer.'
The fairings and tank would be carbon fibre to save weight. The front brakes comprise of twin 305mm discs replacing the earlier size of 280mm on the original bike with four-piston radial-mount Brembo callipers. The Hypermono rides on 17-inch Marchesini wheels, shod with 120/60 (front) and 180/55 (rear). The swinging arm is similar to that found on the new Monster.
Sak have created the Hypermono concept with five different paint-schemes.
